We hopped off the plane and took a subway straight to our favorite place, Soho. This urban neighborhood is best place to break the bank with stores such as Topshop, Saint Laurent, Space NK, book stores and lots more. You can even grab a bite to eat at Georgetown Cupcakes - salted caramel is my personal favorite! (It's also a great spot to run into the likes of Dylan Rieder *swoon*)
The Empire State Building is a great site to visit when you want the perfect view of NYC.
Visiting The Metropolitan Museum of Art is an amazing experience especially this year with the Charles James exhibit. I highly recommend going just before sunset so that you can enjoy the garden rooftop and see more great views of the city!
Cooney Island is a great spot to visit during the summer. You can walk along the pier and enjoy some ice cream or visit the original Nathan's hot dog stand.
Seeing Lady Lib in the flesh was an amazing experience and only $18 to visit her and the Ellis Island museum, perfect way to spend the afternoon in NYC.
The East Village is similar to Soho but with more boutiques and my new favorite store, Other Music, I found some great new tunes and a Rolling Stones album on vinyl which I have been on the hunt for, love gems like these! Also I highly recommend Max Brenners which is the modern day Wonka factory- Chocolate covered everything.
Lastly take a stroll through Central Park and then do some damage on 5th Ave!
